What should I bring with me to the wedding?

Outside of a jacket and your dancing shoes, we will be collecting squares of cotton fabric to make a commemorative wedding quilt! Any color, pattern, or size is welcome - just make sure it's 12x12 inches or smaller! We will also have a box for cards or small gifts you honor us with!

Can We bring a guest?

We're so excited to celebrate with you all! Everyone addressed on their invites is welcome to attend. If any little ones are joining you, please include their names as you RSVP.

Are kids welcome?

Some of our special wedding ceremony participants will be little ones. We'd love to say hey to yours day of! If it makes travelling and relaxing easier, we're happy to encourage the opportunity for a special grown up night, too!

What is the dress code?

We're excited to see you all dressed up! We're encouraging cocktail attire but please note, we'll be outside for the ceremony and dinner, with dancing indoors. Northern california weather changes significantly throughout the day - we encourage layers! Western attire, sarees, and punjabis are all welcome, and we encourage you to wear what makes you feel most comfortable and celebrated!

Where will the celebration take place?

Our wedding ceremony and reception will occur at Big Sur River Inn, in Big Sur, CA. The evening prior, we'll be hanging out at Big Sur Taphouse for casual snacks and drinks!

If we're flying - Where should we land?

There are a few options for flying into Northern california - The Monterey Regional Airport will land you closest with a 45 minute drive to our wedding venue. San francisco international airport, oakland international airport, or san jose mineta international airport will get you to the bay area, and approximately a 2 - 2.5 hour drive!

If we're staying overnight - Where should we stay?

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Big Sur River Inn for the weekend of the wedding. Additionally, there are a few other options in the area that we would recommend: - Big Sur Lodge - Glen Oaks Big Sur - Alila Ventana Big Sur (a little bit of a splurge) - Deetjen's Big Sur Inn Outside of Big Sur proper - Carmel, Monterey, or Santa Cruz are all great alternatives if you have a car and want to explore!

What should we see while we're in Big Sur?

We're so grateful you're travelling to celebrate with us. Between wedding festivities, we hope you sneak in a bit of exploring. For classic Big Sur views, stop by McWay Falls or pull over at Bixby Bridge for that postcard-perfect moment. Also stop by Pfeiffer Beach, famous for Keyhole Rock. There are sea lions and tidepools at Point Lobos, and hiking through the redwoods on the Ewoldsen Trail. Grab a pastry at Big Sur Bakery or sip coffee with a view at Nepenthe's Phoenix Café. And if you're feeling extra adventurous, check out the quirky Henry Miller Library or soak in the cliffside hot springs at Esalen. After dark, don't forget to look up—the stars here really show off. We can't wait to celebrate under them with you!
